celebrate and collaborate

It’s our 5th anniversary and we are so excited!

We will be celebrating on Saturday, August 3rd at King Harbor Brewery with our friend and colleague, Chris Lehman and our new friend and colleague, Julia Torres both of The Educator Collaborative. We also have the pleasure of welcoming Bethany Lockhart, a consistent attendee of our live events, who stays til the very end! And we hope YOU will be there as well!

Coming off of her successful ShadowCon speech from NCTM 2019, Bethany will kick us off with an opening.

Inspiring us and feeding our teacher-nerd souls with a keynote will be Chris Lehman and Julia Torres. Chris is the founding director of The Educator Collaborative, an international speaker, education consultant, and New York Times best-selling author. Some of his books include Falling in Love with Close Reading, Energize Research Reading and Writing, and more. Julia Torres is a book ambassador for the Educator Collaborative and is an expert at secondary reading and writing instruction for multilingual students and those learning in urban environments.

We will have King Harbor Brewery all to ourselves from 12:00 to 3:00 p.m. The $45 fee includes: opening and keynote, opportunity to meet and collaborate with old and new colleagues, bbp pint glass, and unlimited pours!

There will be a food truck onsite or you are free to bring your own food if you prefer.
